Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
For Silver Clay Workshop

  • Silver clay is a revolutionary material that transforms from a moldable clay into solid .999 fine silver after firing. It consists of tiny silver particles mixed with a non-toxic organic binder and water.

  • Silver clay becomes fragile after drying, but as long as you follow our guidance, breakage is very unlikely. If your piece accidentally breaks into two parts, our instructor can repair it for you.
If it breaks into many small pieces, you may choose to:

    • remake your piece by paying for the additional silver clay needed (11.99 CAD/g), or

    • keep the polished fragments as a keepsake — the experience itself is priceless.

Remaking a full piece requires our instructor to guide you through the entire process again, which often takes an additional two hours. This fee reflects only the minimum labor cost involved, and we appreciate your understanding.

  • Yes, you can absolutely make two pieces in one session.
There will be an additional $40 CAD fee to cover the extra firing and polishing process for the second piece.

  • While you can bring your own gemstones, we recommend using the ones provided in the workshop to ensure compatibility with the firing process. Our stones are specially selected to withstand the heat and integrate beautifully with the silver clay.

  • Just your creativity! We provide all necessary materials and tools, including silver clay and embellishments. Feel free to bring any design ideas or inspiration photos to help guide your creation

  • Absolutely! Our workshops are designed for participants of all skill levels. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring you learn the techniques and leave with a piece you are proud of.

  • Our workshops are best suited for participants aged 15 and above. Younger enthusiasts are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

  • Each workshop spans a delightful two hours, filled with creativity and craftsmanship as you design and perfect your jewelry piece. After crafting, enjoy a brief 30-minute polishing session to add that final gleaming touch. You're welcome to take your creation home immediately, or if more convenient, pick it up on another day. For added convenience, we also offer the option to have your polished piece delivered right to your door for a delivery fee.

  • We prioritize safety with clear instructions and proper equipment. Participants are briefed on safe handling practices for all tools and materials, especially during the firing process.

  • Life's little delays are understandable. If you find yourself running behind, please give us a quick call or text—we're here to help. Our workshops are carefully timed to enrich everyone's experience, so we suggest arriving a bit early to unwind and settle in. Arriving more than 20 minutes late may mean missing out on the session to ensure the best experience for all, but don’t worry—just reach out and we'll arrange for you to join another session with ease.

  • We aim to be as accommodating as possible. If your plans change, you can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours in advance and we will gladly provide a refund in the form of in-store credit. This credit never expires and can be used towards any of our services, giving you flexibility to join us again at a more convenient time. Need to reschedule? • Embark on a captivating journey of creativity with our comprehensive silver clay jewelry-making workshop. This immersive experience guides you through each meticulously detailed step, transforming your artistic vision into tangible, wearable art. Here's how each phase unfolds:

    1. Design and Gemstone Selection: Begin by immersing yourself in the creative process, sketching out your design ideas and selecting from an array of stunning gemstones that capture your individual style. This initial step sets the tone for your unique creation, allowing you to visualize the final piece.

    2. Molding: Dive into the tactile world of silver clay, learning how to manipulate this flexible medium. Our expert instructors will guide you through the process of kneading and rolling the clay, teaching you how to mold it into the desired shape that serves as the canvas for your artistic expression.

    3. Setting Gemstones: With your design in mind, you will embed your chosen gemstones into the clay. This step not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your piece but also introduces you to the precision required in fine jewelry making.

    4. Microwave Kiln Firing: Experience the thrill as your piece, now ready for transformation, is placed into our state-of-the-art microwave kiln. This modern technique ensures that your silver clay hardens into fine silver, all while you watch the magic happen without the traditional flames.

    5. Hand Engraving: Add a final personalized touch with hand engraving. Whether it's a date, a name, or a special message, this addition makes your jewelry uniquely yours, telling a story that’s as personal as it is beautiful.

    6. Polishing and Finishing: After firing, your piece will be ready for the final touches. Polishing ensures that your jewelry shines brightly, highlighting every intricate detail and showcasing the gemstones' brilliance. This step transforms your creation from a crafted piece to a professional-grade jewel.

    7. Presentation and Packaging: To complete your experience, we’ll help you prepare your jewelry for presentation or gifting. Learn the art of jewelry packaging, giving your handmade treasure the professional presentation it deserves.

Each of these steps is supported by high-quality photos and live demonstrations, making your journey through jewelry making not only educational but also visually inspiring. This workshop is designed not just to teach techniques but to engage your imagination and passion, resulting in a piece of jewelry that is truly a reflection of your personal artistry.
